finding all your new channels and we'll give that a shot to see if we can find anything but I have a feeling we're not gonna find anything at all but this is how you scan your channels and as you see it's moving actually pretty fast meeting there's actually no signal in my area at this current point you'd think I would because I actually have quite a big antenna outside but there's no signal around I'll just give that a little bit just to see if I can show you that live feature because it's actually quite a lot you can do you can have a look at the guide also you can pause up to 30 minutes so that's actually kind of cool it's going to show you guys that but if we can't get to that I do apologize for any of that so we'll just wait a few more seconds so normal as slow it means it's actually finding channels so it's possible it's finding some pink alright and then the last thing we're going to show you which I don't have a thumb drive to have I don't have any movies on it but we're going to show you where you can play all your videos if you've got a USB even a micro SD are pretty sure you can use this with as well and if you've got videos on your local network you can connect to your local network and play your videos or just have a look at your photos which will show you that in a minute - okay so have we found and think no channels at all okay it's getting pretty bad okay we do apologize for that but you cannot get

any channels in my area so we used to be able to get them but now we can't so now what we're going to do is head over to I believer have the app installed okay we'll just find the app there it is at the end okay so it's the Roku media player that's what this is so you can open this app up and basically if you've got videos on your local network you'll be able to watch those even if you've got a thunder I plugged into your Roku well toss your TV you'll be able playing this as well now that is our gateway right there so that's our Telstra gateway now if I had a hard drive for example plugged into had sharing enabled I'd be able to access any videos that I had on that hard drive if I had the router to share them now I don't have actually anything connected to that so we'll we'll have a look now what this is doing here now this is picking up my computer so because I've got my Gateway tells reckoning to my computer it's gonna pick up one movie and obviously there's nothing in there but it can pick up what is on your computer and these are just files as well but there's no cure as well but yes you can set up your computer as a sharing with the network and it should pop up under the Telstra gateway depending on what your wife is called and that's what a we call it stuff you got Netgear it should say Nikki a gateway so that will be all there as well then you go settings take a mock up a few things right here right there so that's how you can get music photos videos and movies and if you don't want to plug a USB or something into your Roku or Telstra TV just plug it into your router and you can share it between all your devices with your router if you connect to the same Wi-Fi network it's a great place to put in your photo stuff you got Roku Telstra TV and you can easily just quickly share those photos and look at them nealy on any device that will allow you to share this so anything that's got a media player you should be able to access your files with your local shared network on Telstra or any network at all so I believe Gate are Nikki and does it I'm not sure about a bunch of others but I've tried it on Nikki and I know that does work so that's basically everything kia and there's not much more on that I can basically sure I'm pretty sure I've showed everything right here and yeah now we're just going to talk about a few things set is a bit annoying with the Telstra TV that you may already know but I'll tell you guys anyway so first of all one of them is if you scroll through the menu really fast and backup what you're fine will happen ill freaks and sometimes it'll freeze that bad there you actually need to pull the plug out of the Telstra TV so it can freeze if you're really fast with the box so keep that in mind if you're comparing this to the Apple TV I haven't really had a problem with the Apple TV freezing so that's something you may want to keep in mind but TV can freeze occasionally if you are really fast with it okay so keep that in mind now I never bonus with the Telstra TV which actually is kind of a big bonus if you're a fan of Telstra TV box office well Telstra TV is the way to go because it's not just set you get a hundred and twenty four dollars credit so one hundred and twenty four dollars credit you can go rent or your favorite blockbuster movies right there so you can start up your collection of renting your favorite movies will start buying some movies that you may want to buy on the Telstra TV box of its so I don't think the Telstra TV box office is available on Apple TV I don't believe it's available on any media player eater so it definitely gets on the Telfer I don't think it's available on the Fox tell me our box def ago that's about valuable anyway I know the only other places I know what is available is obviously it's going to be your Android iOS and stuff like that I don't believe it's only any other smart devices my Smart TVs it might be but on their

all this because of the so-called Netflix effect this morning I read an article in the ABC website where NBN head of stakeholder relations Sam DeMarco said what we saw in 2015 was the introduction of Netflix within Australia and that was a catalyst for change on all our networks including fixed wireless we saw usage behavior and consumption accelerate which put pressure on the network in terms of how it was designed originally ironically and network was supposed to be future-proof can't even cope with one service let alone multiple as we now have four years later now the article continues experts have hit back at claims and the echo didn't anticipate the rise of Netflix and look I

love hearing this the media outlets are like hey we sound like we kind of know what's going on and we speak to people who have maybe some knowledge about this topic well let me just open up this massive dictionary of mainstream sponsored media ooh I found it just call them experts that will do like what are they an expert in anyway but that's something that grinds my gears you know at uni we were always forced and told to add sources and exact names of people to give them some weight so when I hear experts I don't know who they're talking about so not an expert but a politician in 2010 actually our then Prime Minister Julia Gillard released a corporate plan for the NBN the plan clearly noted in its summary of key industry trends that strong usage growth is expected to continue with real-time on-demand traffic increasing with video on-demand services audio streaming and it also highlights that your landline phone over the Internet known as VoIP is amongst the fastest-growing services and look probably mainly because of telcos are all outsourcing their call centers overseas and milds NBN is also forcing you to cut your phone line anyway so that report continued the NBN was supposed to provide infrastructure that would enable the growth of video streaming and other new

Woolworths Celtx and Australia Post they were all hit I'll accept Cole's who came out and said hey fellas come shop over here we accept your magic plastic thingamajigs so bank payments ATMs F bus machines were knocked out causing unprecedented chaos this is turkmen pad streaming from Crystal peak ne terminated fans out there what do you guys think of the new terminal movie the trailer came out Sarah's back anyway while the world didn't end it showed us that again no system is safe the cause of the outage was Telstra's coin network which services the middleman for payment platforms and payment data transferred to the exact coin is an IP based Virtual Private Network for

hello friends Pat here welcome to another video in the series that I have called Tech Talk as a placeholder but it has stuck in this episode we are going to compare some articles from the world to understand if the 5g mobile network that is coming to Australia is dangerous to our health look you're being exposed to radiation right now it's coming to you at from both space and the soil from the water the food and the body itself it's radioactive and you're being exposed to microwaves and radio waves both natural and human-made could be Wi-Fi TV radio station cell phones 3G 4G and now 5g and look Bhaiji is just getting started so what is the 5g network it is a digital cellular network in which the service area covered by providers is divided into small geographical areas called cells and AAG

signals representing sounds and images are digitized in the phone converted by an analog to digital converter and transmitted as a stream of bits all the 5g wireless devices in a cell communicate by radio waves with a local antenna array and low-power automated transceivers in the cell over frequencies and channels assigned by the transceiver from a common pool of frequencies which are reused in geographically separated cells the local antennas are connected with telephone network and internet by a high bandwidth optical fiber or wireless backhaul connection usually to the NBN fibre if one is available like existing cell phones when a user crosses from one cell to another their mobile device is automatically handed off seamlessly to the antenna in the new cell the new 5g wireless

devices also have 4G LTE capabilities as the new network uses 4G for initially establishing the connection with the cell as well as in locations where 5g access is just not available now 5g can support up to a million devices per square kilometre while 4G supports only up to 100 devices per square kilometer simply better and faster however this also means there is a lot more mini tau being built to the point where there could be one every few streets or even homes and that is scary so 5g is a wireless communication protocol a quick look back at our high school years reminds us that there is a spectrum for all wireless signals from AM radio to visible light than ultraviolet light 5g will use a spectrum in the existing LT frequency range of 600 megahertz to 6 gigahertz and a millimeter wave band between 24 and 80 60 Hertz now large quantities of new spectrum 5g and our frequency bands

have been allocated to 5g in order to support its increasing throughput requirements for example in July 2016 the US Federal Communications Commission the FCC freedom vast amounts of bandwidth in underused high band spectrum for 5g the spectrum frontier proposal doubled the amount of millimeter-wave unlicensed spectrum to 14 gigahertz and created four times the amount of flexible mobile use spectrum the FCC had licensed to date now as of March 2019 there are reportedly 52 countries territories special administrative regions disputed territories and dependencies that are

formally considering introducing certain spectrum bands for terrestrial 5g services or are holding consultations regarding suitable spectrum allocations for 5g or have reserved spectrum for 5g or have announced plans to auction frequencies or have already allocated spectrum for 5g use also because of espionage fears on foreign uses by Chinese equipment vendors several countries including Australia United Kingdom and the Netherlands as of early 2019 have taken actions to restrict or eliminate the use of Chinese equipment in their respective 5g networks Chinese vendors and the Chinese government have denied these claims okay so the main health risk is radiation damage that cannot be seen and so radiation can be broadly divided into ionizing and non-ionizing types now ionizing radiation is powerful enough to damage DNA which is why you have to be careful about how much sunlight you get or to my x-rays enough obviously sunlight the damaging part is the ultraviolet light ionizing radiation is powerful enough to damage DNA which is why you have to be careful about too much sunlight or too many x-rays now ionizing radiation doesn't have enough energy to break our DNA and therefore we have traditionally thought it cannot cause things like cancer 5g type electromagnetic waves are a higher frequency than 4G and therefore further up the spectrum towards x-ray but still on a non ionizing side because they have a shorter wavelength the waves are less able to penetrate solid objects just like sunlight can go through a wall technically speaking being indoors will hinder 5g reception for this reason like I mentioned earlier 5g requires many suitcase sites sell boxes to boost the signals and directed around corners and other obstacles the radio waves are non

ionizing in 2011 the World Health Organization research team classified all radiofrequency emissions as possible carcinogens and for reference coffee and pickled vegetables are in the same possibly carcinogenic list now the first wave of 5g devices and towers will be using the same spectrum as 4G LTE so for now you can sleep soundly once our Aussie telcos decide to put more money into 5g they will start using the higher frequency bands 24 gigahertz and 28 and later 37 and 39 and 47 there's also lots of talk on the Internet specifically Facebook about the phone industry trying to suppress data about the dangers of cellphone radiation suggestions have been made that the same deceptive tactics used by the tobacco industry to hide the danger of cigarette smoking are being used by the wireless industry well dr. Kyle crucially insky a gentleman who frequents the triple j office as a science communicator and qualified scientist doctor and engineer who is not part of any telco had this to say now all mobile phones including 5g use hives frequency radio waves that's a type of elect magnetic way as the frenzy gets higher we can send more information in a second but the signal is more easily blocked by solid stuff like the concrete in buildings our current 4g mobile phone networks run at frequencies between 700 megahertz and a few thousand megahertz which is the same as a few gigahertz now the new 5g network uses two main bands one under six gigahertz that's six billion

 cycles per second while the other one is above 24 gigahertz so that's higher frequency than 4G but it's still lower than visible light which sits around 600,000 gigahertz so now it's time to re-emphasize two points first as the frequency gets higher we get more cycles per second so we can transmit more data second as the frequency gets higher the ability of the radio signal to pass through stuff gets less once again plain old physics tells us that the 5g radio signal will be more easily blocked by the concrete in buildings than our current 3G or 4G phones this is all non ionizing radiation it does not carry enough energy to damage atoms so it cannot cause cancer the frequency and energy is just too low to damage atoms we have run many hundreds of studies over the last half century and we have never been able to prove that any of these non ionizing radiations caused cancer it's non ionizing the bottom line it's never been proven to cause cancer it might sit in your skin and warm it up but that doesn't cause cancer it'll warm up your skin a tiny amount but so tiny you won't be able to actually measure it and so for the official studies that I have found over the last few weeks have been that the frequencies that 5g uses can warm up skin or a very minut amount however is so minimal it's difficult to measure in fact since the 50s we have been using technology that adopts electromagnetic ray creation to heat they are called infrared heaters and you can walk down to Bunnings right now and get yourselves one of those because heating as far as those articles and peer-reviewed studies state doesn't mean danger doesn't be cancer all that said UV tanning booths are much more dangerous than wireless signals because UV has been proven to cause skin cancer there has been no conclusive results indicating that mobile technologies are eminently dangerous to humans many astroturf errs rely on how difficult it is to contextualize scientific results to make wild claims that go unchecked for a long time in particular they often cite one specific study as proof for their misinformation think vaccines cause autism where the one guy who did the study faked it all and people keep pointing to the same study as proof now remember how I mentioned that 5g has a hard time going through solid objects well that's because it is a higher frequency and just because something is higher doesn't mean it's more powerful or dangerous you see the argument that the higher frequency causes more damage has been debunked to numerous experts on the biological effects of electromagnetic radiation confirm the opposite opinion the reason for this is human skin offers a protective boundary that reflects high frequencies protecting internal organs higher frequency radio waves are less likely to reach your brain than lower frequency waves now with more people using mobile phones Wi-Fi and other wireless

gadgets you could imagine the cancer rates would go up but a quick look at some stats cannot justify that thinking so look scary stories make for popular headlines but the reality is that small pieces of potential events are often quickly blown out of proportion background radio frequency radiation levels even in today's very dense world everywhere you look there is radiation emitting devices the LTE networks around us are constantly buzzing but they still fall well below the regulatory and scientifically tested safe limits even mobile phone manufacturers have to prove that their latest gadgets will exceed the outlet limits but none of this should stop any studies into radiofrequency radiation because the more we know the better we can protect ourselves from potential carcinogenic

who are struggling with their finances or other ways well I really don't know there are well look there has been many examples where certain costs are priced differently based on age and financial status just think of bus or train tickets it's not unheard of doing something like this would be admitting that the Internet is a human necessity maybe not like water or power but you can't pay either of these without the internet and these days you can't even have a phone line without being connected to the NBN I mean they sought to that now I certainly believe that internet access should be affordable and even to the level of a must-have the question I put to you guys is do you think the Internet is a human right let's chat in the comments below about that No price-wise in general without any subsidy the NBN is a very expensive product for the average Australian anyway we could compare it to other countries all day long but that's neither here on there we're not there and nothing's gonna change the way we're doing things here because of other countries but that again is problematic because other countries could lead by example and if it's truly just followed some of their examples we might have a better infrastructure in regards to the incident not everything let's one get me wrong here I think a much lower price for all levels of speed should be implemented and the difference made up in how

many people actually connect because we want to connect to the NBN we want to use the product and we want to have a price that is reasonable now if you have a product that is affordable you will have more people using it and if you provide a service that is capable of providing Heist and create high speed plans for those who can afford them they will pay and provide you the RSV and Indian code with income it's not rocket science let's be frank there are also folks who are willing to pay that $200 per month or more for speeds beyond 100 megabits I'm thinking 250 350 500 at gigabit now that's just some thoughts let me know what you guys think about that would you pay more are you willing to pay more for more speed if all the prices sort of came down a little bit so keeping that in mind let's talk about focus and Vodafone and ozzie broadband submission to NBN Co in regards to the CVC cost structure now when NBN Co put out a discussion document to all the RS bees we talked about this a little while back they wanted to get their thoughts on the NBN s current roll up and the replies were pretty clear please and I quote reconsider the CVC pricing model itself in order to create a sustainable price structure in the long term now if you want to get into more detail I have put all the links to the sources below you can have a read when you want now reworking the CVC price

completely artificial cost and/or tax which creates scarcity where there is none leading to problems like this Andrew Penn touts that the CDC is a tax by Indian code for offloading traffic from the NBN to the RS B's Network see there are fears that over the next few years these prices will go up causing the IRS B's to pass on the cost to the customer and in the end making currently expensive plans even more so a problem for sure and this is why I think it comes back to our first story now just like ozzie broadband Telstra is also wanting NBN Co to consider lower pricing for pensioners and disadvantaged persons so is access to the Internet a human right to the point where wholesale providers need to lower their pricing or at least create a pricing structure that allows our SPS to sell an affordable product but doesn't let them create insane margins or if it does it could provide them a way to try and compete on pricing and look this is not just for pensioners and disadvantaged folk it's for everyone because I don't think the affordability for this product is just there yet but the takeaway here is that if n V encode do not do something about their pricing we could see a rising cost passed on to the consumers now while we can talk all we want about these things being too expensive in

Australia getting the NBN built is also not cheap so let's do a quick news bite of that since 2017 NBN Co has spent nearly eight hundred million dollars to improve its wireless performance and in recent weeks in fact we have seen that they've been adding capacity upgrades for almost 200 fixed wireless towers and six states and territories if you want more know more details about these upgrades and the specifics again the links are below they write that the largest proportion of work focused on towers and Victoria followed by New South Wales and that was based on the analysis by the writers there in an article by ITV News now few things to note on this is that users will not see improvement in services it could be all the future proofing work or improvements to other systems to have no direct correlation on performance but might add to stability now they have said that overall the performance of the fixed wireless networks will improve over time as they finish these works so there is a lot

nice synced and short video today I highly doubt that but let's see where it goes first up we have NBN Co actually all three topics are about NBN Co and fairly related so that's not your jam or toast the DEP that like button just to spite me and remember to subscribe if you like this sort of news content so let's get into it NBN Co is setting up free Wi-Fi internet services in Bush fire evacuation centers in New South Wales and Victoria this week last week they brought in their sky muster trucks to relief people quickly and provide some semblance of connectivity but that's not a long-term solution by any stretch and what long term in terms of what's needed here the twelve sides should be live right now with five more being added over the next few days and that's a really good thing about wireless

internet with a power pole and a technician you can connect to the NBN from anywhere in Australia well within reason I suppose the ability to deploy the wireless internet in regional areas so quickly is the real benefit of it performance-wise these situations it doesn't really matter but when you're at home trying to stream entertainment and play games it actually might I expect the fires to affect many services and being Co might come out and say that it has found damage to their wired services to the point of sitting back the rollout plan by months or years that's fair enough burn out wires are much more difficult to fix and adding new wireless antennas on a home as long as we can get electricity to the areas affected we should be okay however as fires are merging to make bigger fires at this moment in time this weekend there is no actual end in sight and this is one of the last things on people's minds to be honest and here's what NBN Co said on their Facebook post this week we

understand the importance of internet connectivity for local communities at this time we have now installed Sky must satellite dishes at 12 evacuation centers in New South Wales and Victoria which are currently offering free Wi-Fi additional services will be installed at five new locations tomorrow we'd like to thank the installers who have been working tirelessly over the last few days Sam pictured below is one of the many installers who has been working to connect evacuation centres across multiple states they have played a critical role in helping us deliver temporary internet access to those communities as dependent from Telstra also chimed in and said for Monday 6th January until further notice we are making our pay phone network around the country available to provide free local national and standard of our calls communication Minister Paul Fletcher commented the work of the telcos in this crisis here's what he had to say many of the outages are due to power supplies being cut off and in some cases are the direct impact of fire on network infrastructure the current fire situation across Australia have made access difficult and unsafe at some sites to access and restore services as and when it is safe for our technicians to access infrastructure sites restoration work is getting

underway the extent of fire impacted power and communication infrastructure in some regions means work to repair and rebuild will be ongoing in any case well done to NBN code for stepping up and providing these services all for free including every other service and telco who was involved even Telstra let's move on to our second topic of this video this one is all about Vodafone and their desire to make money from a service called Indian what well they got in touch with a company called CIE Centre for International Economics the CIE on their request of Vodafone wrote a short story a heartfelt story of a little company navigating the dangerous world of laws and legislations of the telecommunication industry it is called a hypothetical story of one business struggling to navigate the television tax and subsidy schemes I'm not joking even the serial adulterer Ronald Ark could have written it any better I will link the report below you have a read yourself it's quite lengthy quite a nice short story so what's the cie well it's not the dumb brother of the CIA not at all the Center for International Economics is a private economic research agency that provides professional independent and timely analysis of international and domestic events and Paul so what issue does vote have with NBN Co well you see Vodafone Australia claims high-value NBN connections are in no way profitable enough to cross subsidized and commercial parts of the rollout and that a proposed broadband tax won't address the issue so they get the CI a to write a short story about it and the key takeaways from it are well first of all don't introduce the regional broadband scheme that's been around while it's been kicking around Parliament for a long time secondly this taxes type competition and investment it is based on the false assumption the NBN has commercial services as subsidised non commercial services and reality and the encode has non commercial services and highly non commercial services I bet that that's exactly what says the second one is pretty standard response after all it's blaming somebody else thirdly reformed the USO to recognize the role of the NBN and the role of other technologies as part of the Productivity Commission enquire that was a little while back lastly these founds can be used to help Indians regional services well as establish a technology neutral and contestable fund to provide a reasonable quality cost-effective voice service for regional and remote Australians in a nutshell the government wants to make sure that regional services get a fair go from telcos as the higher earning metro areas kind of like no kid left behind but with more money involved so the higher earning areas will subsidize the non-commercial ones however the CIE report makes it out that this is a false and says that NBN Co is trying to subsidize commercially unviable services with other commercially unviable services you see it's not all about the speed and how someone's internet is just a tad slower than other it goes a little bit beyond that when NBN Co is

causing these rifts between providers who deal directly with frontline customers and then it's the customers who miss out I'll keep you updated on this one as I expect it not to be the last time we hear about it they'll probably be more to come about this tax finally to finish off on a small note happy note one that I put into the title for this video though you have to wait till the end to hear it I promise though I sure the videos I hope we haven't failed that I'm not sure how far home we are now so NBN Co has done something they said they will not do at all I had to report on it it was a very sad video however this time around and they ended up upgrading around 3,000 homes that were meant to be fibre to the node and what sort of upgrades you may ask well it's not fiver to the curb and it's not HFC or satellite they went full monty and installed fibre to the home all this is done of course to meet the requirement statements of expectation with the minimum speeds the government has set out I get a few comments here and there about how why does anybody care about speeds it's better than a vesl well let me tell you why you should care because we spent fifty billion dollars on a network and damn well it should be better than a DSL it should be 50 billion dollars better than a DSL with

hello friends Tec Minh Pat here hope you are well and we're looking into this very very different situation and it could be an admission of guilt or is someone at NBN Co feeling maybe generous or is an bein car run by a secret cabal who are in cahoots with Foxtel hmm today we learn of a program of works called coat when I first read this I actually thought it was good and it made more sense NBN Co will begin a trial next month that will see 50 that's right just 50 not thousands or anything like that fibre to the node users receive an upgrade to either fiber to the curb if TTC or fiber to the premises which is that special fiber cable that we all love so much these locations are not been identified and could be anywhere in Australia it could actually even be you now the code program is not just a cover of it stands for change of access technology this trial is the first step in the future chances of full

upgrade projects for those folks stuck on bad pipes and their own connections because we all know that not all connections are actually bad in fact many fibre to the node users are enjoying a great though expensive service what we can guess is the chosen fibre to the node users must not be attaining great speeds because NBN Co must make sure its entire network footprint can achieve peak speeds of 25 megabits per second under the government statement of expectations and they do have some expectations now NBN Co has previously shown 1.3 percent of all fibre to the node premises are incapable of hitting that mark so I don't know is that 1.3 it seems like a very small percentage the company must therefore offer these uses a different access technology but what's significant about

this is that the upgrade options include fibre to the curb now I fully support fibre to the curb because it's so much better than fibre to the node you can potentially attain high speeds with this curb technology and by far it's probably price wise and time wise the best option now endian coasted last year it would make 500 kerb an option under its existing technology choice program where an individual user or a whole area usually represented by a council can apply directly to the NBN code to pay their own way to better access technology now NBN Co is considering working with certain types of technologies over the existing copper line as part of this upgrade program so we'll quickly go through that may sound a little bit technical but bear with me one of the first ones is called g.fast which is a digital subscriber line DSL protocol standard for local loops shorter than 500 meters and

we all know where that problem is now GM g.fast is now being rolled out by several operators to provide ultra-fast broadband that it can deliver nearly 1 gigabit speeds on telephone lines and over 1 gigabit on coaxial which is HFC now it also provides an economic alternative to fibre to the home which is exactly why the Liberals had chosen fiber to the node with cable there is a couple of technologies they're looking at first of all full duplex do CSIS 3.1 which will enable 10 gigabits per second on the HFC Network next up would be do C is 4 which refers to the prospect it's back as DRC is dot next this could support very high speeds by tapping into more of the HFC cables available RF spectrum under this idea also known as the extended spectrum do see is a cable operators could use more than the 1.2 gigahertz of plant spectrum that could now be leveraged for do CIS 3.1 or the 1.8 gigahertz spectrum envisioned for full duplex next up is fiber and obviously if you have it XG s P o n this is a 2009 computer networking standard for data links capable of delivering shared internet

access rates of up to 10 gigabits per second over existing dark fiber and after that we can try n GPON to the next generation passive optical network - and this is a 2015 telecommunications network standard for a passive optical network the standard was developed by ITU and details an architecture capable of total network throughput of 40 gigabits per second the last two really showed the beauty of fiber you only need to upgrade the hardware and not necessarily the cable and even then sometimes a software upgrade couldn't really help however even at that time NBN Co had not specifically laid out any strategy for upgrading its fibre to the node footprint this first upgrade trial will only include fibre to the node and will last approximately two months the process and systems needed to run these upgrades are not expected to be in production until the initial network build is largely complete so NBN Co says that code will be fully operation by q1 2020 the ultimate intention is for NBN Co and our SPS to be able to pursue a change of access technology irrespective of the driver for that change or where their request comes from for example if you're having a bad time there might be remedies for you to access fairly quickly it is still however early days the scope of the program is incomplete and we'll probably find out results pretty late during the trial but wait there's more in addition to

unveiling code NBN Co also revealed the presence of another program in the works it is called balls which stands for blame o liberal lazy spuds all potato jokes aside it's called NBN select very very original under NBN select which is due to launch in July a retail service provider RSP will be able to act on behalf of an end user in order to change its access technology from the default to multi technology mix add a premises to NBN Ethernet or fiber to the premises the project difference between Indian select and the existing technology choice program is that the RSP is the interface with NBN Co instead of requiring the user to go directly to NBN Co sorry friends things are moving but to me it sounds like their costs are also moving up let's chat in the comments let me know what you think is this the kind of plan you think will actually help do they need better code names what do you guys think I'll chat to you below thanks for watching like subscribe and I'll see you guys
