Telstra to buy NBN Co!?

Telstra to buy NBN Co!?

hello friends it's news time again this is tech man patch and this time no awkward intro no jokes that took me way too long to write only the cold hard fact as coldest Telstra's grasp on the Australian communication industry which to be honest is slowly melting away look apart from what Tracy Grimshaw thinks his news or that she believes that her dreams to win Dancing with the Stars are completely in the realms of possibility her recent story on the four hundred and sixty five thousand dollar foreign bill that was sent to a family in W a in error is actually only half the story let me fill in the blanks or at least the conspiracy part you see Telstra wanted some extra coin they have been on a rampage letting go nearly nine and a half thousand people all to make themselves a lean mean

pillaging machine they were out to buy themselves a new toy but lucky for you me and the rest of Australia Tracy nor Telstra is going to achieve their dreams this new toy that Telstra seemed to be eyeing up is of course the NBN after the completion which let's be honest feels further away day by day the government could consider the sale of its beloved money-making acid because by then

hopefully it's going to be in the green and making money and maybe we all have fibre anyway since there has been a pattern of selling Aussie assets this could happen but here is an awesome little bit of news Communication Minister Paul Fletcher has ruled out any chance of Telstra buying the National Broadband Network and cut hopes of a cut to wholesale prices to ease pressure on those listed telcos profits mmm so a gut punch for sure and for those following at home the NBN has restrictions put in its bylaws or some sort of laws that no provider of service for example Telstra TPG or Vodafone could ever purchase this asset that is the National Broadband Network jeez I'm always trying to feel very proud so hey break out the champagne are not doomed is what I would be saying if those sneaky lawyers did not exist and loopholes weren't their favorite way to get off there is a loophole and one that Telstra might just fall right in they have a separate business called in Africa in Frakker infra Co I like in frack oh they will own an estimated 11 billion in assets comprised of Telstra's old fixed

network infrastructure including data centers non-mobile related domestic fibre copper HFC subsea cables exchanges poles ducts and pipes you get the idea this includes Telstra's copper and HC networks currently however it does not include Telstra's mobile network assets such as the spectrum radio access equipment towers and fiber back holes which Telstra will continue to own and operate now Telstra will also continue operating its network applications and services business which

includes cloud services and for Co will ultimately be responsible for Keith fix network assets and for managing relationships with three main customers groups wholesale NBN Co Telstra customers and small business and enterprise customers no there there is no reason why infra cove couldn't buy NBN in the future and look I'm starting to feel a little bit like Sarah Connor at this point what do you guys think is there any possibility that infra Co a spinoff from Telstra could end up owning the NBN what a world Hey in any case finally we circle back to the NBN but this time its daughter that is in the doo-doo let's see what I did there dodo decided they could trick their customers or at least new potential customers by calling their NBN plans perfect for streaming and hey first of all put your

hands up if your NBN is perfect for streaming look guys I see a few hands up there okay well some of their plans had max speeds of 12 megabits per second and 10 gigabytes of included data imagine that 10 gigabytes of data I haven't seen 10 gigabytes on my mobile plane for almost three years now let alone a plan let's get some napkin math going here Netflix uses about one gigabyte of data per hour for each stream of standard definition video and up to 3 gigabytes per hour for each stream of

HD video obviously you'll be paying more for that plan but nonetheless so in 1 month you can watch potentially 8 standard-definition episodes of a TV show or rather Netflix show or original or two or three movies and then you're done kaput all out of data and that's as if you are 12 megabits per second would even let you because let's be realistic even on great NBN speeds streaming isn't always perfect and good luck swimming 4k content imagine streaming our planet and by the time David

Attenborough finished telling you about how wonderful and full life our planet is your data would be gone just like the polar icecaps now honestly please please watch our planet is actually amazing just just watch your internet bill so imagine being that family in W a they'll bill from dota would be quite an impressive sight to behold so the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said on Wednesday that the advertising in question is likely to be false or misleading and in contravention of the Australian Consumer Law excuse my accent so dodo has agreed to refund three hundred and sixty thousand to about sixteen thousand customers who incurred extra data charges after signing out for NBN plans advertised as a perfect for streaming the a Triple C chairman rod Sims said we are

qur'anic we are concerned that donor customers on those plans could not reliably stream high-quality video particularly when others in the household we're using the Internet at the same time we don't believe NBN plans with just ten gigs of data included are perfect for streaming it is simply unacceptable for an Internet service provider to tell customers that their services are perfect for a particular use and to then charge them extra when they use a sir as advertised does that sound oddly familiar to you charging extra for a service that kind of advertised or mostly use let's say 80% of use alright and on that bombshell I will sign off from this news update thanks for watching hope you subscribe to stick around and chat in the comments below let me know if you're one of those 16,000 people who are getting refund I would love to hear from you and how that conversation went thanks for watching like subscribe and I'll see you guys in another one bye

Good Bye GoPro - Hero 7 Silver Review

Good Bye GoPro - Hero 7 Silver Review

hello friends Patrick here today we are reviewing the hero 7 Silver Edition it's the one in between the the white and the black the silver it's kind of like the second place the middle brother the middle child to the new hero lineup of stuff from the GoPro and there's a few things I want to talk about not just this device itself but a previous device that I thought was actually mind-blowingly good I thought it was really really cool and I thought they were moving away from this type of design but then I'll talk about obviously potentially the benefits of having a design like this so this is the hero 7 silver it got

10 megapixel camera it can do 4k at 30 frames and obviously the black one can do 4k at 60 but also it's missing one other feature which is video stabilization so if you're running around with this this stabilization isn't inbuilt it's done via the actual software and that can actually not be as good the hero black is much better at this because it's a hardware based stabilization but you're gonna pay through the roof this is around three hundred and fifty dollars while the hero black is about 500 to 550 if you get it for five hundred it's a pretty good price so why the jump and is the jump actually worth it well we'll try and summarize with that but I want to talk about this now I've had a GoPro before I had the four also a Silver Edition I really liked it I did sell it off because I usually use it for a very short

amount of time potentially a ski trip which is literally exactly the same thing I did three years ago and then I kind of on sell it because to be honest apart from that I don't do extreme sports often nor really ever never is it extreme I mean snowboarding isn't the TV extreme but I found it that once it gets old it gets old but this is the one I think I'm going to keep so let's start with this and what I used it for so I went snowboarding so I used it in the snow the first thing you will realize is that it does not come with waterproof casings anymore it is waterproof by itself in this little rubbery shell around it there is only a few buttons it does have a touchscreen in the back but we've got a record button we've got a button here for modes and on and off which is actually very frustrating and I'll talk about that in a bit and we've got the little plug here to get the USB see that charges it and the actual micro SD that's in there so let's talk about this button when you turn it on it's one press and in Oh beep and it's on and I'll go to the last thing that you did or you can set it to always go to video now if this is on your head on a helmet it's actually really hard to kind of even sometimes hear it press it or even know that it's on the right mode so I kind of went by just clicks and noises if I click it it's one beep I'm in the right thing

and I press the record it'll beep again if I press the record to stop the recording it will beep twice and let me know it's finished it was very frustrating Oh while ago I actually had a little remote on my hand that you could press but I found it a Apple watch can actually work with it but then GoPro decided to remove that app from the Apple Store for an unknown reason and I was actually pretty disgruntled I bought this knowing that I can control it with my Apple watch and that did not happen the Apple watch had a preview good press record set the mode then I had to use my phone to do so which kind of frustrating when you've got gloves on and you're in the snow and you want to take out your phone have a look and in put it back in press record it also uses up your own battery I had the pocket here by the way that's why I'm referring to it here and it it is it is very frustrating to say the least to use this the buttons themselves aren't really clicky and you can't tell if you've clipped it especially through a glove taking it off obviously it works wonders there is no actual nice display that you'd have in the old ones they used to have a little display here with numbers and it's recording now it has a little light that's actually hard to see and when you put the cover on it get frustrating this is the only accessory not the handle but this is the only mount you get with it if this breaks you got to go buy another one and putting it in is there's no trouble at all we'll slip it in just like any other enclosure the cool thing is this new design or this ability to be actually waterproof without a waterproof case means you can use every single old other attachment for your GoPro so what was I talking about the old design well there is a sections version of the GoPro camera that one is a very small box the size of this one heroes proper picture up here no screen on the back just press and go and I really liked that I thought that would be a great design without this bulky one it's actually bulky and at this stage I don't think GoPro should be making bulky devices they should be getting smaller and better this feels like a pretty standard Don thing now seeing use cases for like drones where you put a GoPro on it I've

seen it used in all sorts of things cars you know boats anything that you want to record on bikes got a recording of a bike that I'll show you guys here but I think it should be getting smaller and it should not have the screen anymore there is no use nobody's gonna go through the footage and watch it or join their friends be like hey guys have a look look at this small screen it's terrible to use that touchscreen is is nice but the button did the whole thing so small my fingers are too fat to really use it to me it could be my fault but it's useless so GoPro sessions I firmly believe is actually the best design they've got sure sure okay the not all accessory could work with it but if you're just mounting it everything's got a mount and you can mount it to anything it'll be smaller on your helmet it still performs really well and I'm sure I'm sure if they take away the screen they can make their sessions and much better device so I apologize for talking about the session too much but I'm comparing it an older product that's actually around the same price as this one it is sold out now it's actually pretty hard to get but Amazon had it for $200 it was well priced it did 1080p at 60 this one does 4k at 30 frames it does 1080p at 60 and there's a couple of things that really annoy me about it first of all at 4k and 30 frames this eats through the battery this is also the device that you can't add an external battery pack and you can't charge it on the go and it has a terrible battery gopro should be ashamed the battery on this using 4k horrible absolutely horrible I switched to 1080p and at 60 the the battery was acceptable it worked really well but then another problem presents itself the 4k sensor uses a very nice wide angle and the 1080p because it's doing double amount of frames actually a lot closes in and makes the view terrible it's almost like a four by three view it why what is this crap and then to make matters even worse that touchscreen menu it's horrible to turn on 4k it's a little 4k icon to turn on 1080p 60 frames it's a snail how stupid do your customers seem GoPro that your button to turn on a slow-mo or or rather 1080p 60 where you can slow down the footage a little bit or bring it down to 30 there'll be more frames you call it snail you have an icon of a snail and you call it slow mode how stupid do you think we are the menu is horrible there's no point having it the settings are atrociously dump down this product is dumped down from the versions that were before there was so much more choice there was so much more control that was easily accessible but also easily understood this just sounds like a child's toy a snail before I bagged it too much there are a couple of things that make this GoPro quite awesome one of them is the fact that it gets cheap yes location not just from your phone but also from the device itself and can tell you all about the mountain a few a couple screenshots of it grabbing me traveling you're on the mountain on Japan what it can also do is actually grab the speed that you're going and you can put a little overlay on top of a video in the actual software provided by GoPro which is pretty darn cool there is also a jeet sensor that can tell if you're going fast around a corner or pulling some G's as they say that in fact is also another overlay kind of misleading in the sense of what it does and it's not that sensitive but it seems to work and it's limited to just showing on the video as a little overlay there's also a little guide to show you what areas you've gone intensely in so speed wise a little bar over a period of time which is really good and trying to find out where you had those massive and awesome highlights those jumps or maybe those fast points it's a great way to capture it other than that that overlay isn't necessarily useful so while the footage that I got on the 4k xxx is actually quite nice the colors the the white balance is okay you have to do some editing to get it better I'll try and show you two comparisons all in all it's an acceptable product but I just don't feel like GoPro has done anything new better or even slightly more improved I feel they've gone backwards with this product apart from the fact that you literally cannot use it with your gloves and you don't have a screen to look at and the only light telling you that it's recording is right there on the left and it's fairly visible there's no way have it on your helmet and actually check if it's recording except the sounds but if it's really loud and you're snowboarding and it's making lots noise you'll never gonna hear of the sounds battery horrible recording a 4k get about 30 minutes recording at 1080p at 60 you might even get two hours okay let's let's summarize can I recommend this probably not not when this is potentially not the best GoPro they've made in the past it's just the one that is available at the shops today the hero 5 Black Edition will probably have a lot of more Pro features I know it does and has a few features that makes it a viable package for the concerns I have is still with this design which is the same with the black it is also same with the way it's being used and nobody uses a touchscreen really nobody I don't think nobody does I really sincerely believe I had so many crashes using it the the icons are dumped down I felt bit stupid treated stupidly by the menu the software is terrible if you get a chance to get the sessions for online buy it it'll probably be better than the white that's for sure don't buy the white version this one here is probably what you're gonna get if you're just casually using it very casual use maybe that's what it's marketed for but maybe you can have two firmwares maybe update the furnace to change things or you want to choose the old classic way of choosing settings allow us a locket cracker jailbreak it whatever it is make this usable because this is a very powerful camera held back by software so finally let's say this you want to get it and using casual things it's pretty good price and it's better than the white too expensive little black but this will do fine for a family trip snowboard or even just casual trips if you want something a little bit more versatile get the sessions for you'll get less 4k but you actually get some usable footage and it's really smaller much easier to use friends thank you very much for watching I hope this has not turned you off so much but it is a couple of my complaints that I found over the trip I had obviously battery was terrible and you couldn't just challenge it on the go there's no battery packs to add so we'll leave it at that let me know in the comments what you think about this version the silver the seven have they taken a step backwards could there be things they could do better I hope you enjoyed some of the footage the quality of it obviously like I mentioned sometimes the person using the GoPro is bad but the GoPro is pretty good at making something look good and something like force so the images I captured is very amateurish and I hope it gives you an idea of what you might get if you are don't have much knowledge about these guys when you first jump in and it's kind of hard being on the mountain trying to figure it out I mean I used it on the snow I didn't use it anywhere else from the bike bike footage you came out really nicely but again it could just be the user friends thank you very much for watching I'll catch you in another video

Choosing the best HDMI Cables in 2020

Choosing the best HDMI Cables in 2020

hello friends Patrick here today we are talking HDMI which is high-definition Multimedia Interface now let's have a quick talk about what it is and then we're going to get into the question that you've probably clicked on this video and that is what HDMI do you need today in the year 2009 now HDMI is a proprietary audio and video interface for transmitting uncompressed video data and compressed or uncompressed digital audio data from an HDMI compliant source device such as a display controller to a compatible computer monitor video projector digital television or digital audio device basically HDMI is a digital replacement for all analog video standards so remember the red white and yellow cables so back in 2012 when the cable landscape was the Wild West the C net came out with an article and I'll link that below this was their headline expensive HDMI cables are a rip off and
Choosing the best HDMI Cables in 2020

offer no difference in picture quality over cheap ones so when a Salesman tries to upsell politely tell them he's wrong and move on with the sale of your other item and in 2012 they were absolutely correct now however the landscape has changed again and well damn it it should have because it's been six years and so it doesn't hold up anymore today we are going to look at the current differences of HDMI cables why you may need to buy a new one but also still don't actually have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars so first off let's quickly look back at cables back in 2012 they were sort of all the same most homes only had 1080p TVs or even monitor screens and the HDMI cable didn't have to work too hard different manufacturing quality can have a slight effect on the ability to transmit the signal over long distances let's say 25 meters or more better made cables may even last a

Choosing the best HDMI Cables in 2020

little bit longer especially if they're nicely braided now better May doesn't actually mean more expensive note no matter what though there is an absolutely no picture sound quality difference between a three dollar 50 cable and a thousand dollar cable back in 2012 so obviously does this hold up today and the answer is a bit of a mixed bag it's a yes and no distance is still an issue however there are now multiple standards of hdmi cables and we need to discuss each sometimes people don't really care about specific specifications of a cable I mean you just want it to plug it in and work and as long as it looks like the cable that fits in that hole over there it must fit so let's quickly look back at version 1 now HDMI 1 was released on December 2002 and it's been a while hasn't it these cables have been around for a long time and it's a single cable digital audio/video connector interface the link architecture is based on DVI so you remember those DVI ones you use for your monitors and these use exactly the same video transmission format and sending audio and other auxiliary data during the blanking intervals of a video stream it allows a data transfer of 4.9 gigabits bandwidth per link the same as a DVI it could only do 1080p at 30 Hertz or 1200 P at 60 Hertz and eight channels and 24-bit audio and probably that last bit is the only meaningful bit it could do 1080p at 30 Hertz and then you could lower the actual resolution was that Pete and 1220 P at 60 now the interesting thing about the first one is that those two things were actually locked you could either do that or that and it couldn't go lower so then HDMI 1.1 came out in May 2004 and added support for DVD audio and then we skipped to version 1.2 and that was released in August and 2005 and added the option of one bit audio and used super audio CDs at up to eight channels and to make HDMI more suitable for use on PC devices in addition it added explicit support for several new formats including 720p at hundred Hertz and 120 Hertz and these are the refresh rates how many times that image actually shows itself and it was really good for PC gaming for example when you could use your HDMI cable to actually get higher fresh rates on a higher refresh rate monitor and it relaxed the pixel format support requirements so that sources were only native RGB output PC sources would not be required to support ycbcr output which is mainly for TV and DVD and basically your devices that go from TV to projector so later on HD mo 1.2 a was released on December 2005 and it had the full specifics of all the previous ones except it added something called consumer electric control CEC and we'll talk about that more in a little bit later because it actually only comes to fruition a few versions later and so then HTML 1.3 was released in June 2006 and increased the maximum to 1080p at 120 Hertz and or 44 TP @ 60 Hertz it also optionally allowed output of Dolby true HD and DTS HD master audio streams for external decoding by ad receivers it incorporates automatic audio syncing and audio

video sync capabilities now a little bit later HDMI 1.38 was released in November 2006 now this allowed devices to speak to one another and control things like volume and on and off and that's actually part of that re-release of the CEC finally other brands have gone on to it and started adding support for CEC so HDMI 1.4 at this stage is the most popular HDMI cable as it could do almost everything in the next three to four years and actually my 1.4 was released in 2009 in also mate now HDMI 1.4 added support for 2k at 24 Hertz 4k at 30 Hertz and 1080p at 120 Hertz which makes some really amazing connections it basically brought around 4k to the home it also added HDMI Ethernet channel HCC that accommodates 8 100 megabits Ethernet connection between the 2 and HDMI connected devices so they can actually share an internet connection it also introduced an audio return channel just called Arc meaning you can have an external audio source connected via HDMI and now would actually be able to speak to other devices that are connected on another agent in my channel and still have the audio come through that which was absolutely amazing it meant a lot less hdmi cables overall but it also meant you could lose your whole system connected to your TV

through one cable and let other things connect to it and use that sound so when you have a console or you have a DVD player but you only have one sound system you don't have to connect it all onto this one sound system it can go to the TV through this arc back to the sound and all of a sudden you've got this really nice eco system at home now hdmi 1.4 a was released on march 2010 and added to mandatory 3d formats for broadcast content which was deferred with hdmi 1.4 pen in the direction of the 3d broadcast market and unfortunately we don't really have any more 3d content at home i know at one point there was a bunch of 3d TVs being sold that's kind of just disappeared if you'd look back so it's not really relevant but then hdmi 1.4 b was released in october 2011 containing only minor clarifications to the 1.4 a documentation and all it did is just allowed the latest use of the hdmi licensing and it's the last one before the future versions of the hdmi specification was produced by the hdmi forum which was created in october 2011 this is where CNET's article stops because we are entering a new generation of content and cables and the reason for my video i hope you still with me

Choosing the best HDMI Cables in 2020

here so hdmi 2.0 reverted by some manufacturers as hdmi UHD was released on September 4th 2013 now hdmi 2 increases the maximum bandwidth to 18 Giga bits this enables hdmi 2 to carry 4k video at 60 Hertz which is 60 frames with 24-bit color depth other features of hdmi 2 includes support for re c 2020 color space up to 32 audio channels up to 1500 and 36 kilohertz audio sample frequency dual video streams to multiple users on the same screen up to 4 audio streams 4 to 0 chroma subsampling 25 frames 3d formats support for 21 by 9 aspect ratio which is this ratio of this monitor right here dynamic synchronization of video and audio streams which basically means your mouth moving and your audio will never go out of sync or hopefully anyway HEA AC and DRA audio standards which is just expanding to more and more things that can work with your TV and improve 3d capabilities and additional CEC functions now HDMI to CAD another revision called 2a and that was released in 2015 and added support for high dynamic range and some static metadata and then hdmi 2.0 B was released in March 2016 with again minor upgrades now HDMI 2.1 was officially announced by the hey GM forum on january 4 2015 and was released on November 2017 it adds

support for higher resolutions and higher refresh rates including 4k at 120 Hertz 8k at 120 Hertz now unfortunately it's not really useful just yet because we don't even have TVs that are 8k they're coming soon they're gonna be in the tens of thousands now HDMI 2.0 also introduced a new HDMI cable category called ultra-high speed and keep that in mind because we need to talk about which certifies cables as a new higher speed that these formats require ultra high HDMI cables are backwards compatible with older HDMI cables something to really remember and all the cables are compatible with the HDMI 2.41 devices though the full 48 gigabits bandwidth is not possible without the new cables maximum support resolution is 10 K at 120 Hertz dynamic a generic specifications are the same but they now include scene-by-scene or even frame-by-frame basis high frame rates are now included for all for kak 10k and enhanced audio return channel which is arc with the word enhanced in front of it so T arc for object based audio formats such as Bobby Atmos DTS X and variable

refresh rates are going to be coming soon so that might be really good for consoles that are gonna take use of it so basically the refresh it matches the game instead of having one set and you'll get the Lich's and screen tearing now there's a few more little bits and pieces quick media switching for movies eliminates the delay that can result in blank screens before content is displayed not that a lot of people suffered from it quick frame transport reduce latency okay so that's still a bunch of words that may not mean much to you so I have broken down some key features that you can take advantage of now in your home and I will point out that less than 1% of people can take advantage of the features of HDMI 2.1 so everything you just heard you could potentially just ignore up to 80 mi - so here is what to look out for in your TV and home theater setup to choose the right cables well first of all the potential resolution of your TV most TVs right now have a maximum 1 or 4k and they're actually quite affordable there's also the are connected devices for example your sound bars there's also HDR 10 color reproduction which basically means better colors and much truer to life depending on how your TV presents it a cue lead and OLED obviously has much better quality of those you know deeper blacks whiter whites and obviously high refresh rates so 200 Hertz sports modes on some TVs you will need a better cable now it's not that hard to manage this and most of the time it's going to be a choice between HDMI 1.4 a or 1.4 and 2 you will have one point four cables lying around the house but they may not do the job if you've just bought a new TV but it's very simple so if you want 4k at 60 Hertz with HDR and sports mode i refresh rate then you will need to get hdmi 2.0 minimum if you don't have a 4k TV you don't need to go out and buy a whole new set of cables one point for a and B will do for all your needs and most of the ones you have at home our dad already unless you've had them for a while so this one for example as you can see it's actually cut is a one point two this cannot work with something like arc it will not push the sound through this on the

other hand is a 2.0 and it's a much thicker cable as you can see it's not fancy it's still plastic this can work with everything 4k 60 Hertz 10 10 bit colors HDR etc etc and here is the premium cable which is got metal house and it's got a braided cable it's a little bit stronger and this one is 2.1 so if you want to connect your sandbar and arc so the TV controls its own sound and so you have only let's say one remote then you will need to grab a 2.0 or at 1.4 be but due to the naming conventions it's still easier to find a 2.0 cable at this stage this is also mean that the best compatibility with that cable it won't really matter for the devices you have you might as well go for the two because it's just not gonna change anything else you'll just have compatibility so what to buy and wear so the idea from CNN is still stands you don't need to spend hundreds on cables you don't want to buy from shops like Harvey Norman's good guys or JB hi-fi as the markup on those cables is insane best places to get a cable at the moment is Amazon a you priced between ten to fifty dollars depending on the length you can

purchase UHD HDMI 2.0 cables nicely braided with solid pins and this is this one here this cost ten dollars its Amina sure it's it's very short run by only needed a meter and I don't want too many cables hanging around but you can go up to $20 for two three meters and so on these are very cheap and these are the best you can get right now so you don't spend $60 on cables I mean you don't need to $15 will do fine I will put a link below for what I bought and by the way I don't have an Amazon affiliate so feel free to also search Amazon on your own just search for hdmi 2.0 and with primates it's obviously free shipping so between these two cables the price difference is about 50% this is six dollars I think with delivery and this was ten dollars with delivery obviously they look a little bit different but they still do the job very very well so what I'm gonna point out to you guys is that yes you can probably get away with HDMI 1.4 with most things and most things will work but if you are finding you're not able to connect some bits and pieces like HDR 10 if you want to use it and to be honest you won't really notice it because is that not that much content yet that use it but there is 4k content and again most content is that four Hertz so you might not even need this cable because this can do 60 but you won't need it there's also the actual color gamut which is 4 2 2 or 4 2 2 2 in any

case whatever one it is you might need a better cable but your TV also has to support it so there's no point buying more expensive HDMI cables if your TV does not support it so basically at the end of the day if you want HD are 10 you've got 4k at 60 Hertz you want all that cool stuff you will probably need to fork out for an HDMI 2.0 and it's not expensive guys thank you very much for watching I hope there's been a little bit helpful I know it's a bit of a longer video and a little bit daunting looking at these but it's not too complicated just yet in the future we'll probably get more and more complicated I'll probably do an update video guys thank you very much for watching like subscribe let me know what you think below are you guys using HDMI 2.0 cables let me know or if you're getting away with some older cables interestingly enough Xbox 1s would not work with a 1.4 cable at a 4k resolution at 30 Hertz so that's something to note it's very picky Microsoft is very picky with guys thank you very much for watching I'll catc

questions we as a question we know my colleague Michelle Boone's room will answer your question during the webinar and after the webinar we will be available for some time to answer your question via the question window in addition I would like to mention that this webinar is recorded in a few days it will be uploaded to our website where you can access it let's go ahead and switch to PD V V zoom you see the network editor displaying the loaded version file you might know from our example there is beauty supply modeled in the network it can be depicted by the updated functionality of the root cause layer you can reach it by graphics edit graphic parameter root cause maybe you would like to look this up later within this webinar we will touch just the following three beauty lines the regional train line operating from the Central Station to another city a feeder bus line which feeds the regional train line and connects to willikers and an urban bus line operating in a loop course in the urban area first I would like to introduce the standard views of the timetable editors for this I pick the urban bus line doing by line opens the line dialog reduce it to active ones select the urban bus line and open post timetables both timetables the graphical and the Debra are open the time tableau a timetable editor displays in the upper section the vehicle journeys in the lower section you may find the correspondent vehicle journey tie items the display of the journeys is it technically is a turned list which all known lists functionalist analogies from we zoom therefore of course it's possible to add additional attributes I'm doing this by open the context menu clicking right on your mouse adding attribute selection here I've got all these attributes for vehicle journeys and I just pick duration and the duration is depicted in the tabular timetable the graphical timetable editor is a distance time diagram it is possible to switch the axes if this is more common display for you these settings you may find at user preferences GUI timetable and orientation of graphical timetable I switch this to the other view and so the axes are switched in the timetable editor like in the network editor it is possible to zoom and pan by using the mouse wheel turning the wheel forward will zooms in turning it backward zooms out pressing it it will pen the editor in addition to that it is possible to zoom every axis separately you can place your cursor at the distance axis and zoom in and the time axis remains constant you can do this also by the time axis for the stop axis additional options are provided at the toolbar to straighten out the stop events to see all given labels to shows the stop distance in proportion to the distance of the network data and of course to set the window to the given stop events in addition to that the its functionalities for all the time axis you find here the day of

operation reaches from four to twenty eight o'clock an option to display the 24 hour view will norm this display to 24 hours which means that journeys operating after midnight will be cut ads right and will be continued at the left of the view you may see it here where this journey seems to end between two stops and this continuing in the morning of course the timetable editor is fully synchronized which means if you select this rear journeys here it is automatically selected in the tabular timetable in the network editor as well as in the list besides these technical features it is also possible to edit the overall view to fit special analysis therefore it helps to understand what defines the tabla and the graphical timetable view it's on one hand the selection of lines and so journeys and on the other hand the amount and sequence of stops the journeys are assigned to exactly this two features are reachable and editable by this window calls timetable lines which was introduced in June 14 if you don't find this window in your vision instance please go to view and make sure timetable lines is activated as an example for the configuration capabilities we will look at the selected line it is a loop course line which stop twice before r4 and after this marked stop you see a B and C and in the end C B and a

within these stops the bus operates in a loop from station C to station C this is also shown in the network editor a b c and then the loop back to C and C B a let us now define alternative view for this loop course which only shows each stop once and says clarify the loop course and the service of the bath journey for this we edit to stop sequence editing you can do by the timetable lines window and click on this button edit sequence of stop events a graphical editor is open this window displays the current order and occurrence of the stops the blue line depicts the current selected line routes and their assigned stops deleting one stop here will automatically delete it from the graphical and from the timetable editor maybe it's important to mention that no supply data is changed but only the view is customized can see this in the network editor sister B is still existing it is just not shown in the graphical and in the tabular time table back to the editing window of the stop sequence and for this I maybe just undo the last thing and start from from scratch so if stop occurs multiple times within this stop sequence it is depicted with multiple circles in the items view however if it has only been

assigned once it is possible to edit the stop sequence thus for the line route can be reassigned to other occurrences also stops by clicking on the grey dots of course this would be too costly if you do it for all line routes therefore the common use cases are covered by the entries in the context menu for example I just select the first three stops and select assign stop events and each line route are assigned to this marked stop event opening the graphical timetable you already find a view which is very close to our alternative view we won't like to achieve but there are also all so some unnecessary stops in it we can fix this by editing the stop see sequence editor and of course could single delete them or just open the context menu removed unassigned stop events and we are done to reset the stop sequence you can just recalculate it to get the classical view I've done this because I can show you that the view we generated we can access by just one link I just reopen the edit sequence window and press much multiple existing stop events and here you see this is what we would like to reach previously this now gives us or depicts better the root cause of the service the setting of the view so stop sequent and the line selection can be saved and reopen later as a layout so save layout s and I just pick loop to save it to show the scope of the configuration I would like to show you another example a transfer connection view transfer connection view would like to display and clarify the connection between the train and the bus line we would like to reduce the view to the transfer and to the final stops we would like to display the arrival and departure time for each line separately and we would like the destination and transfer stop off the bus is shown between the arrival and departure time of the train please note for that it is necessary to display the transfer stop multiple times two times for the train and two times for the bus in the end we will color code the line and highlight as the transfer stop so I just unselect this one so you will find here the appropriate track for the regional train line and the feeder bus line but this time I won't do the line selection myself but just select the initial stops of all of you so I switch to stops and select the transfer stop and see finals one final stop of bus and one final stop of the train when I open the context menu I've got the possibility to open both timetables I need to choose that each line should be selected which operates on at least two stops so you may find in the line selection that both the bus line and the train line is selected the stop sequence contains the final stop of the bus line final stop of the train line and the transfer stop we will switch to the tableau a timetable which contains these stops also and start editing the stop sequence first we would like to enter the second final destination of the Train therefore we click on this red cross which gives us all stations which will be served by the train so we picked the last one the Central Station and it is inserted into the stop sequence we assign the second line called a line route to this and we do the same for the bus so we enter here and select the final destination of the bus now we have to reorder the stop sequence for this we just select the final destination of the bus and place it somewhere here to surround the bus line route with the transfer stops of the train we have to insert the transfer stops twice again so we just enter here and click on the right mouse button and open the context menu to add a stop event in front of the selected stop now list opens which contains all stops in the network we are looking up our transfer stop by using the search functionalities and insert this transfer stop we do the same in the end so just add stop event in front of and pick say stop and now we have to assign the train route course to this arm stops we would like to see the arrival and departure time separately in the timetable editor and this can be done for the bus by just clicking on the context menu and display arrival time and departure for this exactly stop want and this is depicted as is this double line here we also want to see the arrival and departure time for the train separately and we want to see it here for the arrival time and here for the departure time for this we have to insert something we called a twin stop we have we need this because these stops are don't following each other so entering a twin stop you just press on the first occurrence and drag it to the last one and release it the same here press it drag it and release it by opening now the timetable editor you may find the view we would like to achieve the train arrives at 44 and leaves at 45 the buses in both directions arriving at 42 and departures two minutes after the departure of the train to amplify the context you can select graphic parameters which differentiates the lines and highlights the transfer stops for this I go to timetable tabular graphic parameters open graphic parameters and just select predefined graphic parameter now you can see the journey of the train in green and the bus in blue the transfer stop is highlighted I would like to mention that all the changes you've done here are also done for the graphical timetable if I reduce this a little you may find also something very interesting because you see here the line of the journey of the Train and of both buses and here you find this two minutes the buses arrives earlier and our departure later mentioning the graphics parameter I would like to give you a deeper insight into this for this I switch to the network editor and open a pre-selected graphic parameter some time it can be useful to see attributes of your infrastructure like sections where cars and trams shirt road space in your timetable as an example we coded the standard level of service condition to the network you see here section with medium and high risk of congestion in the network now we would like to show this along the timetable editor therefore I open the graphical timetable and just load the Safet layout from the urban bus line you remember this view which we have done before so for to depict the attributes I would like to choose a linear representation of the line routes so I just recalculate them and just fit it a little bit better in the window yeah and besides the layout also the graphic parameter of the timetable can be edited you already see the departure and arrival times at the journey items and the distance between the stops sequence sectors graphic parameters are edited here at the stop sequence section you may find the the attribute I was using for the distance parameter and at the background we now use classified to display and I've already chosen the attribute for the standard level of service which I was inserted before and it is color coded by a classified display now a calico that standard loss is displayed as a background of your timetable of course it is also possible to see the assigned demand in the timetable editor as long as you have to save the results also to the vehicle journeys for setting up the graphic parameters accordingly you have to look up in the graphic parameters just switch this out to the vehicle journeys I go to item labels oh sorry item bars switch on the label here and I've chosen this bar which includes the attribute of the volume and I've inserted a classification for the seating capacity and the total capacity of the vehicle so all items in green our journey items where all passengers find a seat yellow where some has no seat red where the vehicle Kaposi capacity might not be efficient of course it is also possible to generate more complex views like the amount of passengers boarding and alighting for this I predefined a graphic parameter so I open graphic parameter and here you find in blue the amount of passengers boarding in orange passengers alighting and in green passengers traveling screw next I want to show you exactly this information presented in the tableau a timetable for this I switch to the tableau a timetable and we add the information about the boarding passengers boarding and lighting so edit arrival attributes and just press select boarding and alighting the same for departure attributes or just boarding and alighting you know what I've done something wrong here boarding and alighting yeah that's right ah boring is missing here now look okay and and I have to readjust the column with you a little bit okay now you see if past reporting and lighting adds the vehicle items and I want now to color code this items by volume traveling through so I just select graphic parameters vehicle journey items active weaker journeys and I just here select the volume volume here it is and I want to really find this classification I just want to see three classes one for the seating capacity and one for the total capacity below the seating capacity everything should shown in green beyond the total capacity it should be shown in red and between this I want to see everything in kind of orange now it is color coded about the

volume and you see the passengers boarding and lighting in your timetable editor with this I'm coming to the end of the today's webinar let me summarize what we have seen already I show the basic structure of the timetable view and the handling we saw the manual editing of line selection and stop sequence to define a timetable view in the end we had a look at the attribute selection of so graphic parameters in order to extend our views for information to demand and infrastructure I hope you find something interesting and helpful for your projects within PDV Bisou before we close I would like to point you to the next webinar which you may find are interesting please look up on our website for the complete list and further information if you have any questions just enter them through the question window and stay tuned after the presentation stops Michael and I will try to answer them in the following thanks for your attention goodbye

Shoots Epic Battle Between Fox And Eagle Over Rabbit, And It Gets More And More Epic With Each Photo

Shoots Epic Battle Between Fox And Eagle Over Rabbit, And It Gets More And More Epic With Each Photo

*This is the sort of nature photography about which shutterbugs dream. Talk about seredipitous timing and location! And can you imagine what Kipling would have thought about seeing this? He'd be penning a fable before the fox hit the ground.
*Yes the poor rabbit got the worst of it....Hopefully he was dead before he took that plane ride.
*I showed this to my grandfather and he was amused. Then we talked about his childhood in a rural area, how people made clothes back then, and what weddings were like.(He was born in 1936)
*Either way, the rabbit loses.

Shoots Epic Battle Between Fox And Eagle Over Rabbit, And It Gets More And More Epic With Each Photo

How would you feel if you were on your way home proudly clutching your hard-earned food, when all of a sudden somebody jumps you, snatches away your sandwich and does a runner? You’d be furious wouldn’t you? Spare a thought then for this poor red fox, whose rabbit was dramatically stolen by a cheeky bald eagle on San Juan Islands, WA, just recently.
The bald eagle is a symbol of America, powerful, graceful and fearsome. However, quite aptly one could say, it is also known as a master thief, quite happy to steal food from others whenever the opportunity arises. “Eagles really don’t like to waste a lot of effort in getting their food, so they look for easy opportunities,” Kevin told Bored Panda.
“A couple of days ago, I captured an especially dramatic act of thievery,” he wrote on his blog. “I saw a bald eagle steal a rabbit from a young red fox. Even more impressive: at times, this battle played out more than 20 feet in the air.”
Kevin was on the San Juan Islands watching young foxes, called kits, play and hunt on the prairie. “A red fox caught a rabbit and was carrying it across the meadow,” he said. “I panned my camera with it to capture the action. Then behind me, I heard the cry of a bald eagle. I turned around and saw it approaching fast. I knew it wanted the rabbit. I intently trained my camera on the fox bracing for a split second of action.”

“To my surprise, the scene was even more dramatic than I expected. I thought the fox would drop the rabbit, giving the eagle an easy dinner. Instead, the fox, with its jaw still clenched on the rabbit, inadvertently got snagged by the bald eagle. The eagle lifted the young fox and rabbit into the sky triggering an even more dramatic struggle.”
That’s one feisty fox! The entire airborne battle lasted around 8 seconds, bringing a whole new meaning to the term ‘flying fox.’ Finally, after realizing that this battle cannot be won, the fox gave up the fight and the eagle dropped it from a height of around 20 feet. While taking a pretty heavy landing, the fox showed no signs of injury from its flight. “It shook off the encounter and resumed playing with its fellow kits. I took several pictures of it after the ordeal and couldn’t find a single scratch,” Kevin said.

“I suspect the eagle thought that since it was a very young fox, the fox probably would have been scared by the eagle and would have dropped the rabbit,” Kevin explained to Bored Panda. “It was a very unique experience. I’ve seen bald eagles steal food from crows, great blue herons and other eagles. I’ve never seen an act of theft like that. But I’ve been a nature photographer for nearly 20 years, I believe every animal has a story to tell.”
“Images that tell a story — rather than just being pretty pictures — are my favorite. That’s what I work toward”

And what a story the eagle, fox and rabbit turned out to be! Scroll down below to check out the incredible and rare images for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!
