Ultimo I found a street I can get a Telstra speed test on their website still struggling with a few apps and things but it's it's not all full 300 you a lot of people walking by I think I'm a complete idiot here just parking up and doing playing with mobile phones but anyway one of the things about five G is line of sight The Closer your phone is to actually seeing the tower the better the speed and so what I'm doing is trying to snip out the tower here and I've just got two three seventy four point five Meg and a 17 ping 70 million second ping so I'm closer than I was a second ago so look great speeds very good you well look now this is getting very dodgy Eric and I've located it I'm standing in alleyways in Altima behind me is a building and I can see mobile towers up on the roof Eric and that's them and the speeds I'm getting now a very impressive all right so I'm consistently getting those speeds on the LGV 50 what song to do now is park up in the car and switching to the other phone to see whether they get the same speeds oh boy it just got interesting cuz I had speed test installed on the opera Reno fargy I can use the actual speed test app on the Telstra server still 480 you this is just getting
ridiculous now 663 [Laughter] Wow lay that okay that was very fast so now got the speed test app on all three phones because I need to be consistent now and try the galaxy s 10 5g this is fascinating because having achieved a 700 Meg speed results on the Opera Reno I'm now getting 300 to 350 on the Samsung so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to put the sim card into the LG run some more tests on that and then I'll go back to the Oppo and see whether we can recreate those 600 plus Meg speeds these are the results for the LG of a 50 there are since the Reno 5g this is the one that peaked at 700 very consistent fours fives and the odd six plus the seven and really nothing consistently in the three so I'm gonna go back now to the Samsung and they go back now to the Samsung and see what it does we're going lie I'm pretty gobsmacked by the Samsung results I just can't get it out of the 300s not going lower than 300 which is excellent but it won't go past 300 whereas the LGV 50 has been up and down into fours I think it even got a five and the Oppo has been consistently high what I'm gonna do is I'll put I'm gonna go back to the LG just to give it a few more guys because I've done a couple
of pages with the results on both and then I'm gonna call it I'm gonna drive back by that first but I went to just in case I've now got all the settings right but I feel that side is actually down and then I think we've got our results but right now something like I'd be leaning towards an oppo Reno 5g if you want the fastest 5g available well that's pretty epic a very interesting experiment really tonight there's no doubt in my mind that there's something about the opera Reno that gives it a bit of speed I think the LGV 50 has similar capabilities I just didn't quite see and hit that and I'm disappointed in the Samsung I'm gonna publish or as most of the results as I can include some photos taken tonight down here Sydney Harbour but that Oppo it looks like good value and 5g maybe isn't quite as Apache and I think they're all it might be quicker and better than I thought because when I have found a tower I found three or four today my me the Prime Minister abili house it's not a bad range but the speed drops off pretty quickly once you get a little bit away from it so it's coming it's cool our full review but efg I'm calm you
phones that support 5g
